Antalya Commodity Exchange was established on 23.06.1920 by the temporary council members Mr. Ak Hüseyin, Mr. Ahmet Muhtar, Mr. Hacı Kadir, Mr. Tacettin, Mr. İstavri and Mr. Sergeant Salih Zeki, according to the Regulations of Commodity Exchanges. Its first meeting was held on 02.07.1920 and it started its operations as ANTALYA COMMODITY and GRAIN EXCHANGE.
The Commodity Exchange commenced its operations in a small building on Hükümet Street. The producers, bringing their products to the Exchange used to keep their products in Ekşili Bahçe, Bir Kapılı Han and Kışlahan and sell them in auctions held in the Exchange. The products were being sold by agents at open tenders where the producer and the merchandiser were present.
Our Exchange is the 3rd oldest exchange according to its establishment date and is the most advanced one in the Göller Bölgesi region.
Our Exchange has adjusted to the Law #655 promulgated on 1924, then to Law #4355 issued on 25 April 1944 and to Law #5590 issued on 08 March 1950 and got the title of Antalya Commodity Exchange. On 24 December 1981, we adjusted to Law #2567.
6.260.TL General Income and 2.960.TL General Expense was stated as the first budget of Antalya Commodity Exchange.
The number of members, which was 45 on its establishment, continues to increase within the time elapsed.
