Dear friends,

Antalya Commodity Exchange has experienced another process with the elections on 3rd of January, 2009; worthily to It’s perfection which has been summoned within the 88 years of experience.

With their deep-rooted tradition and culture; our members have reflected their free will into the poll-box and have formed The Council and the proffession committees of 2009–2012 administrative period.

With the presence of yourselves, i’d like to introduce my thanks to our members. They have; with great majority, made us responsible for serving during the upcoming term, for the issues such as; giving support to sectoral growing and progression and bringing solutions to proffessional, sectoral and social problems.

I have no doubt we, as the Directorate of our Commodity Exchange will act and serve appropriately to this responsibility.

Members of our Council have elected The Board of Directorate of the new term with their free will on 7th of January, 2009. From then on, a new directorate has been formed which stands at the same distance to all of our members.

We currently are under the heavy pressure of the economic crisis being experienced and we do not know when will it reach to an end. In this harsh period, we wish we can realize our potential growth and bring solutions to problems in collaboration with each other. In this harsh period, we wish we can stake out a claim to the directorate of our Commodity Exchange which has been formed by the free will of our members. We beleive that we can overcome all these issues with our common power and with our cultural tradition of acting together.

Now, the elections are left behind. Today we all are a whole and any problem related to any of us is a common problem.

It will be possible to redound our common power and overcome any of these problems as long as we harden our togetherness; as long as we do good; as long as we follow a clear and consistent path. I have no doubt on that; not even a bit.

An 88 years old, noble plane tree is entrusted us. We are not overmen here but servants of our members, our sector and our society. We will have an approach of managing that will create differences; produce institutional values and we will share the results of our efforts. We will be grateful to anyone who reminds us for our mistakes and our defficiencies.

We introduce our endless thanks and blessings foremost to Mr. Niyazi Çetin and Mr. İlhami Kaplan who were former managers of our Commodity Exchange which we are proud of being members and managers of.

We promise to work hard in order to fulfill this honorable duty that we take over, in front of the high presence of yourselves, all.
