Ali Çandır has warned: “There is a close risk for the funds of the Regional Development Agency to be withdrawn”

BAGEV meeting was held at Antalya Commodity Exchange by evaluating and elucidating the events and activities of the year 2009; as well as discussing the objectives and the goals of the year 2010.

All the representatives from Antalya, Afyon, Burdur and Isparta chambers of commerce and commodity exchanges have shared their views on the current issues of the Western Mediterranean Region.

Chairman of BAGEV, Mr. Ali Çandır informed the participants regarding the activities of  BAGEV within the year of  2010. Mr. Ali Çandır, pointed out that they have contributed for the establishment of the regional development agency and wished that the nomination of the Secretary General has to be done as early as possiblle, “However, at the moment, we have come to a point that we have the risk of the withdrawal of 3,5 million TL; which was figured out as the budget of the regional development agency. Actually, if this withdrawal takes place, there will be enormous disappointment and embarrasment for all the Wester Mediterranean Region.”

Mr. Ali Çandır continued to his speech as follows, “It is such a disappointment that, Mr. Murat Dulupçu; who is very well-known within all reagion and has adequate skills, experiences and cumulative regional knowledge and information for this position, was not assigned as Secretary General of The  Regional Development Agency.” Mr. Ali Çandır ended up his speech by emphesizing the seriosity of the appointment of Secretary General and added that, “By considering all these facts, undoubtedly, it is quiet reasonable to suppose that we all have now, higher expectations about the qualifications of the new nominee who will supposed to be assigned as Secretary General for The Regional Development Agency.”
